This community-based research guideline book (in Karen language) aims for the improved engagement of KESAN’s community-based staff and volunteers in community development and natural resource management. KESAN believes that community-based researchers are crucial for three reasons, namely advocacy, self-strengthening, and empowerment. Therefore, this research guide encourages community staff and local volunteers to see themselves as researchers, who hold valuable knowledge about the communities that they reside in and undertake quality research in.
