Recently, mining activity has been increased in Karen State. In the community, people have little education about mining. Therefore, this educational book, “Mining and its Effects”, was produced so that people can gain some basic knowledge about mining. This Karen Language book provides different kinds of information on topics including mercury, arsenic, lead, cadmium, and antimony and their effects. Readers will learn what mining is, and how mining can cause social, health, and environmental problems.
