This (Karen language) magazine was titled “A Tribute to Saw O Moo, A Hero of the Salween Peace Park” to honor Saw O Moo, an Indigenous Karen community leader who dedicated his life to the ongoing struggle to build peace and protect Karen People’s ancestral lands. While he was serving his community, he was gunned down by the Burma Army on 5 May 2018. In addition to his story, this magazine also provides news, reports and stories that highlight the obstacles faced by Indigenous Karen People as they struggle for peace and protection of their ancestral lands during the current peace process.
