Traditionally the indigenous Karen people made and used musical instruments such as buffalo horns, gongs, drums, bamboo xylophone, bamboo clapping sticks, and traditional handmade harps and violins for ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, housewarming ceremonies, traditional wrist tying ceremonies, new year and so on.
